THE MOVES. WHAT WE DO IN A 20 MINUTE YOGA CLASS:

3 minutes of breathing & meditation. Deep breathing exercises and guided meditation to help cool down the brain engine. This is not meditation for buddhists and shutting off the mind! It's about re-focusing, grounding and centering through breath.

10 minutes of standing poses. Your everyday yoga poses, modified for less intensity. The goal is to warm up and loosen up hips, shoulders, neck and back. Breathing and stretching to create space and length in the entire body - especially the superhighway between the brain and the body. Poses include "travel" versions of side body stretches, warrior 1, warrior 2, and the like.

Last 5 minutes-  we incorporate a couple easy  partner poses to engage with co-workers and have a little fun.

Close with a 2 minute meditation and visualization for the rest of the day.

If you have an outdoor space, that's a great place to host the 20 minute yoga lunch break. Being in nature naturally helps recalibrate the brain, without us having to do anything. Add in yoga, breathing, and follow it up with a healthy lunch and ...Boom! Back on track.
