Welcome to our Outdoor Yoga FAQ page. We are thrilled to have you interested in joining our community of outdoor yoga practitioners. We understand that you may have some questions about our classes, schedules, gear, and policies, and we are here to answer them all. We have compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions to provide you with all the information you need to feel confident and prepared for your next outdoor yoga class. From what to wear and bring to where to park and what to expect from our classes, we have covered it all. FAQS

  • Yes! One of our favorite parts about Outdoor Yoga is that it’s an amazing family-friendly activity.

    All kids are welcome. If under 10, and they would like to participate in class with a pair of headphones, the cost is $10. If your child wants to just hang out and play next to you, that is also very welcome and there is no need for payment.

    Please use code KIDS to register.. 10 and over, please purchase a regular ticket.

  • Yes! Dogs are allowed at all our locations except for Alameda Beach. If you bring your dog, please have them close to you. And please be mindful when checking in that dogs don’t jump on our gear setup!

  • Unfortunately not. However, you can share your unique referral link and your friend will receive $10 off their class. Find your referral link here.

    Our class packs are set up at discounted rates to support students who regularly attend classes with us.

  • Book your yoga classes, purchase more credits, and access our full schedule - HERE.

  • Cancel 24 hours (or more) before class and you will receive a credit for a future class.

  • Upon registering for class, you will receive directions to the exact class location.

    For Beach Yoga: A beach blanket or towel. It’s what we use as teachers and recommend. You can also bring an old/inexpensive yoga mat. Your fancy yoga mat will get sandy! Check out the beautifully designed, organic Sandcloud Beach Towels we carry.

    For Park Yoga: A yoga mat.

    Layers: Dress in layers to be prepared for the unpredictable San Francisco weather. If you like to get cozy for savasana, also bring socks, a beanie and a blanket. Don’t fret about chilly days - teachers will keep class moving so your body stays warm.

    Sunglasses // Sunscreen // Hat.

    Bonus: Bring picnic materials to hang out after class with new and old friends.

  • It is highly recommended that you book in advance. We have limited headphones for every class. If you haven’t reserved a spot, you will likely need to wait until everyone has arrived for us to confirm if there is space to join.

  • YES, absolutely! Outdoor yoga is a perfect place to try yoga for the first time or to come back to your practice. Those who are new to yoga often enjoy that there are no mirrors or walls, skilled guidance from teachers with no expectations and that there is plenty of space to do your thing.

    Beach Yoga classes are the most accessible for beginners. Additionally - Kirin, Julie, and Nat are particularly great teachers for new practitioners.

  • Yes! Yoga can be an incredible practice to support you during pregnancy when practiced safely.

    Here’s a helpful article if you are approved to practice. Please note: we do not offer prenatal yoga, but all classes can be mindfully adjusted for pregnant students. Please consult your doctor before participating in class.

  • “Silent disco” headphones are provided for each Outdoor Yoga class. Soulful music and the teacher’s instruction plays through these headphones. Each student has personal volume control throughout the experience. All equipment is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each class.

  • We host classes in all safe weather. We occasionally have to cancel classes when rain, smoke, or turbulent weather is in the forecast.

    All schedule changes will be announced at least 2 hours before class.

    Updates will be shared to all students who are registered, via email and text message. Canceled classes will be returned as credits for future use.

    The weather in SF is always changing. We do our best to keep our classes ON whenever possible, which is why we wait before canceling. Please be patient with Mother Nature, and with us!

    PRO tip: Classes just before or after a storm have their own magic, and are often really fun! :)
